Transcendencia is an annual chemistry quiz competition organized by the Applied Chemistry Students' Association of the University of Kelaniya, first held in 2022. Open to first- and second-year students from the Faculty of Science, the competition features three challenging rounds: the Preliminary, the Semifinals, and the Finals.
Designed to test participants' knowledge, critical thinking, teamwork and problem-solving abilities in chemistry, Transcendencia also promotes a deeper appreciation for the subject. The event concludes with attractive cash prizes for the top three winners.

The Grand Finale was held from 9.00 a.m to 12.00 p.m on the 18th of January 2025 at the Science Board Room of the Faculty of Science, University of Kelaniya.
The proceedings were carried out in the presence of Dr. Dulith Abeykoon as Guest of Honour. Judges: Mr. Nalinda and Mr. Manahara. Quizmasters: Mr. Imash and Mr. Yasas.

The Grand Finale was held from 9.00 a.m to 12.00 p.m on the 23rd of February 2024 at the Science Board Room of the Faculty of Science, University of Kelaniya.
The proceedings were carried out in the presence of Professor M.P. Deeyamulla as Guest of Honour. Judges: Mr. Thilina and Ms. Deshani. Quizmasters: Mr. Haritha and Ms. Tharakee.

The proceedings were carried out in the presence of the Dean, Prof. S.R.D. Kalingamudali. Judges: Dr. Dakshika Wanniarachchi and Dr. Dulith Abeykoon. Quizmasters: Miss Deborah and Mr. Chirantha.
